For those of you who don't already know,
kit_kallisti and I are no longer living together, and will eventually be seeking a divorce. She moved out this past Sunday, and has a decent, 2br apartment in Delaware, very near her workplace. It was my decision, and while it wasn't pleasant or easy, it could have been worse, and it was entirely necessary. We still talk, we still plan to hang out and watch crap movies on SciFi, and whatnot--we just can't continue to live together.
Since I definitely need health coverage, she is keeping me on her insurance until I've completed uni, provided it doesn't take more than 3 or 4 more years, which it shouldn't. She has taken her cat (Eris) and will also be taking the other longhair (Imap). I am keeping the remaining 5 cats, Autumn (the dog), the ferrets, and the snakes. (And I've already ordered a flushing, self-cleaning litter pan. I know the first model had issues, but reviews indicate that they've worked out the bugs with the new model. We shall see. 90-day trials are my friend.)
There are other trade-offs, and whatnot, but they're our business, and this is really the gist of it. For the record,
kit_kallisti is incredibly funny, cool to hang out with, and a good friend. The fact that our relationship didn't thrive is not a statement about her value as a friend, but about our dynamic as a couple, which, quite frankly, started regularly blowing goats after the first few years.
So, there you have it.
